Good Soul, Bad Shoes

I don't have many clothes. It's no one's fault but my own. I need to shop, and for some reason or another, I haven't found the time. This is going to change. In February I turn 38, and if I don't have at least 38 pieces in my closet that I adore, cherish, can't wait to wear, than stuff is going down more than that hooker on Hugh Grant. (Oh, shut up. That was funny.)

In addition to my lack of decent threads, I own the worst shoes ever. And, to add insult to injury, I saw a dog on the sidewalk yesterday who was wearing ruffled shorts and leather booties. No joke.

Only in L.A..

More of my writing can be found on Goodhousekeeping
& Babycenter. I write under the name Andrea Frazer. Drop me a note! I’d love it! Or don’t.

  3. bwahahahahah...snort. That was funny. I remember a surreal thing: Big and I were in Switzerland for our big "before kids" soiree, and we turned on World MSNNBC, and there was Jay Leno, interrogating Hugh: "What were you thinking!??" Of course Hugh made my eyes flutter for him again within about 5 seconds. It's the hair.

    You 38 in Feb
    Me 39 in March

You say fashion disaaaster, I say fashion disaahhhster. Me too, babe.

  5. You need to get shopping, girl! Of course, I hate to shop so have reverted to online shopping.

In answer to your question about a kitty, yes, but not for awhile. I need a little time.

I still can't get into GH to comment, remember that predicament I told you about? I'm going to have to see if they have a number I can call to get my password squared away. Wish me luck.

  6. I love clothes. I wish I had more time and money to spend on them. And shoes? Check me in for detox - I am addicted to them.

It's amazing how wonderful a new outfit will make you feel. It's therapy, I tell you.

now that's funny! i can't imagine getting anything done, since you'd be CRACKING ME UP, but I might be able to get you into something that makes 38 feel like a party for ya! haha!

  9. Hugh Grant? Down? I have no idea what you mean!!

Oh how I wish we could go shopping together. Not that I am any good at clothes shopping but heck. We would have fun right?

Now, you are a high falutin writer.
That was FALUTIN, NOT Flatulent...just to make sure
I made that clear. Of course the flatuence thing would be funnier but hey. Where was I?

    You are a writer extraordinarre.
You are witty and intelligent and beautiful and deserve great clothes and shoes. There. I am old so I can order you around. Oh to be 38 you young whippersnapper...

Now, get out there and shop. I am sure Pip could help you choose amazing ensembles! Grace would SO love to help.

    Love and hugs,
    Sue

  12. Hey Andrea,
I've been reading your articles at Good Housekeeping and they are great! I also love your "bio" written there :)

I procrastinated as usual and have not registered yet so I am commenting here instead of there.

Keep up the good work girlfriend!

  15. Hmmm...since you're in LA, maybe you can get free clothes by appearing on one of those makeover shows, like "What Not to Wear." Or, as my ex used to call it, "What Not to Watch."
