Time Flus By When You're Having Fun

Have any of you been hit with the flu this year? I feel a bit guilty, because we never got the flu shots. And man, am I paying

However... the upshot? We're all hanging out at home today. I'm about to collapse in bed with my little Pipper and catch a few zzzzz's to some opera music piping in from the old CD player. Classical music, to me, is like horses. It kind of all seems the same, but it's very pleasant.

I won't be writing until the weekend, so til then, take care, and stay warm.

* Photo taken of Stink today. You can see the red in his eyes. However, is he not having a terrific hair day? I love his age. Half little man, half little boy. I could eat him up. But I won't. Little boys don't do much for my digestion, nor the flu. But he sure looks good...... MMMMMMMMMMM

More of my writing can be found on Goodhousekeeping
& Babycenter. I write under the name Andrea Frazer. Drop me a note! I’d love it! Or don’t.

I once completely disgusted a punk 20 year old kid by using that phrase, "i want to eat that baby all up"

he'd never heard anyone say that before and so he was officially really repulsed, and disturbed that I worked in children's ministry- like that was my harvest ground or smörgåsbord or something.

I tried to explain that it means I want to put her in my tummy, and that made it worse, then I tried to tell him it meant i just wanted a little nibble, and i could tell he was considering calling cps....

so i tried once more, telling him it means i just can't get enough of her, and that was enough to make him at least slightly satisfied enough to let him leave me alone... as he backed away from me very very sloooowly.

never again did he look at me the same again, and i fear he's held in his heart that I am a cannibal or something.

whatever. punk.

The flu shot only covered 30% of what is out there so it may not have helped you avoid it at all. I'm sorry you are sick but I think Pip has a new craze with the awesome 'do!!!

Get well soon!!

Ha! I feel the same way about classical music.

Hope you and the kiddos feel better soon!

An awesome hair day to be sure. Feel better soon! Even though he's adorable, you can just see he's not quite himself.

And, he's your kid. You can eat him up if you want to. Sort of go 2 for 2 on your "bad parenting".

aw, he's so cute.... We've had this damn flu since Sunday. And it's FRIDAY now! It's just awful. I didn't get a flu shot either, but our doc said that this year's shot is only covering 40 % of the flu strains.

Hope you're better soon!

Yes. You should not eat little boys. They carry all sorts of foul germs.

We are SO ready to be out flu season!

Glad to hear you're already on the mend!

You're a hoot! Twins are 12. And I'm pretty sure I haven't seen 'mamap' in the Bible. 'course - I haven't read the ENTIRE thing yet....

Alas, the shot would not have helped, so don't feel guilty. Seems they were off on their choice of virus this year... lots of wonky people out there, my good wishes go out to you all. And I fervently pray I am spared.

RE file: The font size was very large. I reduced it - it wasn't a problem. Thanks again for sending it.

I'm so glad you inspired people to start their own blogs. It's a wonderful electronic baby book, if nothing else. Many children will be blessed.

That really is an adorable picture of an adorable little guy. I have to admit he has me beat on being photogenic in the midst of the flu...and probably always, if we're being honest here.

I think I'll try the second option you mentioned for getting to know the other parents in music class. We're up in Minnesota Lutheran country here, so you just can't be too careful with your pot jokes.

He's so cute! You know everytime I get flu shots, I get the flu. I know it's recommended, but I think its 6 to one half-dozen to the other, as my dear old dad would say!

Aw, he is a cutie!!

I hope your flu gets the beat-down soon.

(Loved the "porn for women" post. I always tell my husband that he's infinitely more attractive to me after he's vacuumed. Or when he's folding laundry. Now THAT'S hot.)

Little boys are the best! Cutie!

We have had three different versions of the flu. It has been such a party!

How is everyone doing now? Miss ya.

Do NOT feel guilty! We all had the shots and we all have had different strains of this awful flu. I so hope you are all feeling better now...and oh yes. I always say I could just eat up this one or that one. When Grace first heard that expression, and knew the words, she gasped and yelled "NOOOOOOOO! That is SO yucky." Ahem, she just has no idea how sweet that can be!

And I would so eat Stink up...flu or no flu. He is just TOO smoochable!

Love and hugs,
Sue
