You Keep Stink, I'll Keep Pip!!!!

Some of you wanted to know about our vacation. It was beautiful. And such a nice break. But most of all, it was so wonderful to reconnect with my family.

I'm sure a lot of you are like we are, running all over the map. It's easy to lose sight of what really matters. I mean, I know, but I don't always know. But after sharing a small cabin with these people, I can't think of any other human beings I'd be happier to share my home with.

Unless Eric Bana or Hugh Grant came to my door. Or a year's supply of Yuban. Then I'd sell Rex down the river.

I feel strong. And relaxed. And pumped full of gratitude.

I'm sure by tomorrow I'll want to bitch slap a checker, so don't get too washed away in my emotion with me. Stay strong in the jadedness, people. Stay strong.

More of my writing can be found on Goodhousekeeping
& Babycenter. I write under the name Andrea Frazer. Drop me a note! I’d love it! Or don’t.

Hey wanting to bitch-slap a checker is perfectly normal right?

As mentioned in my last post, I love summer. It has restorative powers that draw us closer to our families and ourselves.

I have a list of checkers if one isn't satisfying enough. There's Belinda, Charlotte, Gina, Charlotte, Jane, Kathy...wait I'm sorry those aren't the checkers, those are the Go Go's which is an entirely different issue.

Mountain vacations seem more peaceful. As evident by the family photo.

I love that picture of you guys!
Glad your vacation was restful - I'm very jealous. I need a vacation something fierce.

I know what you mean about the medicinal properties of vacation!

This pic of you guys is so fabulous! you look so happy and ready to take on the world!

I'm on vay-cay here in your neck of the woods-ish. Just goes to show, it doesn't matter where you are, when you carve out time for family, you just can't go wrong.

I'm headed to the mountains of New Mexico to do this very thing at the end of the month but first I'm heading to Vegas to blow some money and guzzle free booze.

In order to be a healthy and happy person, you have to have an outlet for your stress and frustration. Some people exercise, some people drink and some people bitch slap checkers. I say, do whatever works for you.

Glad your vacation made you feel refreshed for a while anyway =)

Yeah, but it was nice while it lasted, right? :) You're the best.

Bitch slapping checkers is very much part of being a mom, isn't it? Well..not really. Maybe?

Your vacation sounded wonderful! Hope you keep that refreshedness up through BlogHer! Looking forward to meeting you, roomie. And...you were not all whacked out on the phone. :)

Great photo!!

It's good to get away like that - it seems to become even more important as the kids get older. They get so busy doing their own thing - friends, school, work, THEIR OWN LIFE. Plech. But it is great to go away and just be the family. Niiiiice. Then, if they're teenagers, when you get back home you're ready for them to get back to THEIR OWN LIFE! lol

Ah, thank you so much for coming by! I would be interested on your take on my armadillo diaper cover post (which was for a friend who is freaky for armadillos)! An "anonymous" poster (chicken) was very presumptuous and made me dig out my big girl undies to deal with him/her. I would love to know what you think!

Glad you had a good time. Would love to be a fly on the wall during the bitch slapping.
